"We began our project to upgrade our kitting and packing lines this year with a view to significantly increasing our line throughputs, improving our ergonomics and laying the groundwork for future automation of certain tasks.
Contax had helped us with smaller line improvements in 2016/2017 (including a conveyor system with an integrated automatic glue head) and we found them to be reliable and knowledgeable about conveyor system applications. As Contax are agents for Shuttleworth Slip-Torque conveyors we felt that this technology with local support ticked a lot of boxes for us.
Although the resulting conveyor system is relatively straight forward, Contax worked with us to deliver some key features such as high-speed product reject and manipulation of lids for improved ergonomics. The system was delivered on time and the installation was carried out in a professional manner. We are currently in discussions with Contax about a potential project in 2019."
